Hi All, I recently purchased a Vox mini Superbeetle but the speaker cab sounds a little boxy and I was looking at upgrading the speaker. My initial thought was a Celestion Creamback but I’m interested in the WGS 10" Retro (8 or 4ohm). Has anyone done this upgrade or know if the Retro would be a good fit to lessen the boxyness but keep the Vox tone? Cheers!
Yes, the Ret 10 will be the best choice and will get rid of SOME of the boxiness … but that little cab is always going to sound lie …well … a little cab!
