Looking to replace the stock 6.5" 8ohm spkr in my Vox DA5 practice amp. Not seeking any particular sound, just a very good sound overall. Any/all input welcome. Thanks
Man … WGS does not make a 6.5", and I haven’t really found anything that sounds all that good … except vintage models that are difficult to find in healthy condition! Sorry. Maybe someone else will chime in here ??
Thanks for your response, Vaughn. I use this only for home practice, at very low sound levels. I’ve rigged up a 1/4" normalized jack so I can plug in an external cab and defeat the internal spkr. Currently using a wide body 1x12 Boogie cab with an Alessandro GA-SC64 in it. So if I want a little more sound, I switch over to the full 5 watts instead of the 1/2 watt. This amp has always impressed me with very good tone even though it is a very inexpensive amp. I like to practice with low volume while getting the best tone I can get at that volume.
