Hi Vaughn, Hi other Forum members,
so long I have not written something but used my WGS speaker cabinets and
it goes on....
So here is a new object for me and maybe some have the same thoughts or
ideas what I can plan:
Playing with different guitars (Strat or Les Paul) means sometimes to change the
eq settings on my amp and maybe the speaker chose too??
The cab is as semiopen as closed back useful, the speakers I have for this
plan
ET 65; sounds good and full with strat and effects, but has in some leadsounds too much
dark parts which makes a dull sound, something undefined for that..
REAPER HP; this speaker sounds clean very good with strat or les paul, but gives some
more mids and little harshness to the sounds if I use a overdrive....
I mean not the drive but the REAPER sounds with it a little bit too nasty...
So what is your thoughts to make it better, better...
A) ET 65 plus Invader / B) ET 65 plus Retro
or better the same speakers one sort??? THE AMPS I use have 25 - 30 watt Tubeamps
6L6 typePowertubes, JJ83s and Tungsol pretubes. Sound is more clean, blues, rock
but no metal, heavy metal or so.
Is it important first which wiring I do??? The amp has 16;8, 4 ohm outputs
So is it different between seriell ( that means 8 ohm plus 8 ohm = 16 ohm out,
which have a lot of amps mainly) or the parallel way ( that means 16 ohm plus 16 ohm = 8ohm out)
this parallel I use during the last time with my speakers.
It's no problem to buy new speakers, the more I have the more I could try.
The only speakers I dislike are: Celestion Vintage 30, China Greenbacks.
