I'm about to build a 2-12 cab (vertical array) and I'm kind of different from most players these days in that I want something very sensitive but very resistant to breaking up.  I tend toward the old 1960s and 1970s JBL 12s and 15s for guitar, but don't want the hassle of possible recone jobs.

I'm moving into 1960s modern jazz (Wes Montgomery, Grant Green type stuff) but fairly loud.

Are there WGS speakers that would fit this sort of speaker requirement?

The Blackhawk HP shares the Large Alnico magnet and high power handling of a vintage JBL D120(F). It also has a tremendous amount of clean headroom, but it's not stiff or strident sounding (even less so than the D120/130's).

Thanks for the info!  Once I get done building a head, I'll be getting going on that cabinet.
