replacement for a blues junior

Didn't see this answered whens skimming the topics:

What replacements are good for/will fit in a Blues Jr.?

I was considering either the G12C, Green Beret, or Reaper 30. I'm sure they are all good choices... Just want to make sure they are not too big.

Hi!  Hey, first off, what are you trying to accomplish tone-wise?  Personally, I find those little buggers to be way too harsh and bitey.  Now, part of that can only be fixed with a larger, quality cab.  However, I put an ET65 in the Blues Jr, and it really made a huge difference ... to me it was an enormous improvement ... it made the amp much warmer and more well- balanced from bottom to top, plus it gave it a larger, more 3-dimensional  tone that defied it's tiny lil particle board cabinet!

I wish I still had it to check dimensions.  From the list you gave, I'd say the G12C should fit, but will sound a lot like the stock speaker, your main benefit here would be volume and headroom.  The Reaper and GB bot have magnets that may get in the way ... maybe some other users can chime in here ... or WGS's Daniel ...

The Reaper or the Reaper HP is the way to go in these amps.  I've gotten tons of customer feedback praising the HPs in their Blues Jr.   It will definitely fit as well.

@Vaughn: Not exactly sure what tone I'm after. I was kind of exploring some upgrades to see if it enhanced the tone of my Blues Jr. If anything some more low end would be nice, but a "3D" tone sounds good too. I'll definitely consider the ET-65! I don't mind a brighter more cutting sound. I play Vox amps mostly and I like a balanced sound over all (good lows with crisper highs). I use the Blues Jr. as my home/recording amp and wanted to get a little more out of it while retaining its unique character (something different from my usual AC30 tone). Thanks a ton for the suggestion! It really does help.

@Daniel: Good to know that these fit. Now I have to decide between those and the ET-65. ;) Probably not a bad decision to have to make.
