Greetings from Croatia!
I’m thinking of replacing the stock speaker in the VOX AV30. This is a hybrid amplifier and has two 12AX7 tubes. It has a Power amp output of 30W RMS @ 4 ohms. The stock speaker is VOX original 10 "4 ohms.
Thinking about G10C or G10C/S or ET10. Which speaker do You recommend? Do You ship to Croatia and how much are the costs of delivery?
I am curious to see what others respond with. That amp is on my ‘wishlist’. I love small solid state combos more than most people do!
It is a very versatile ‘analog modeling’ amp. What kinds of tones will you be using the amp for? That might help you get a better response.
Yes, the amplifier is versatile, but i have the feeling that it would be much better with a high quality speaker …
I mostly play Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd … that kind of stuff.
Guitars that I’m using are:
Gretsch G5220 Electromatic Jet
Squier Simon Neil Stratocaster
Epiphone Les Paul Standard
For all-around versatility in a 1x10" combo … NOTHING beats the G10C (or the Alnico Version if ya can swing the cost).
So, that’s easily my number one suggestion!
