RE: vavletrain speaker

hi  i have a valvetrain saratoga with a emi wizard looking for a new speaker that will cut a couple of db and get  rid of the agessive/harsh upper mid and treble of that speaker   play mostly southern rock and blues  allmans, mule,zz top  looking for warm smooth top end with a nice growl to the mids   thanks ted

Super dead-on easy one!  ET65 ... everything you want in spades!

hey thanks for the reply  i thought the same  but started watching the comparison vids and was wondering if it was too dark   not sure how much of the brightness/harshness is the amp or the speaker  i have to run the tone control at about 9.oo for the tone i like

Well i got a hold of a old fender cts speaker with a large dust cone  and swapped out the wizard  most of what i was hearing was gone  amp is still a little bright but much better  i ordered a et65  should be here tonight   cant wait to get it in there

Love that the old CTS beat the Wizzard!

Looking forward to your report on the ET65.
