I have an amp based on dumble project. It's a boutique combo amp builded by a great luthier here in my city, all tube, with clean channel and overdrive on pre, 50 watts.
I love the amp but I want to change the speaker
What speaker that you guys recommended for this kind of amplifier ?
I'm thinking about the Veteran 30, but I decided to asking you help
Well ... our Blackhawk and Blackhawk HP's have became hugely popular with folks for their Dumble amps.
That would be a good choice ... however, given your statements of :
"I don't want a tone with a lot of bass. I like more mid to treble, but not like Fender amps tone. I like Marshall's tone ( principally in overdrive )
I like bands since Beatles, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Slash's tone, and some things like these ..."
I would recommend an Invader for you ... the tones you mention are all very vintage Green Back in nature ... that's the primary voice of the Invader ... only it can handle the wattage that a GB can not!
Hi Dale, yes ... if it were me, I'd go with Blackhawk HP if I had the bucks for it or an ET65 if I didn't ... but those are both quite warm speakers ... which would be a poor choice given ...

That's the textbook description of a GB voiced speaker!
The Blackhawk 50W version is definitely brighter than the ET65, I tried them side by side. Could be a great speaker for you.
I think WGS should offer a heavy magnet version of the ET65, they do make speakers like this for different amp companies.
I have one they make for HOOK amps and they sound more modern (more highs and tighter, also 100W) than the ET65 or the Celestion 12-65. Great speakers!
