I'm the guy who was frustrated with the G12 C/S in my origianl 65 Deluxe Reverb. I have ordered a Reaper 55HZ 30 Watt speaker on recommendation form WGS. Now here are my options. I have 3 WGS spaeakers ET-65 which is broken in, G12 C/S which is broken in and a new Reaper 55HZ. I have two gigging amps my 65 Deluxe Reverb and my Vox AC15. What speaker belongs where????????
Currently I have the ET-65 in my AC15 and I like it pretty well. I have the G12 C/S in my Deluxe. Not real happy. The Reaper is waiting??? Please answer me soon.
Hummm ... I actually prefer the standard Reaper over the 55 in EVERY instance ... except sometimes as an addition to another speaker. So ... I hope it works out for you!
As you know, I generally LOVE a ET65 in a Deluxe Reverb ... but having owned several original DRs, I can certainly say that after 45-50 years of use ... no two totally sound the same! Still, I would think ET65 in the DR, and Reaper in the Vox ...
