I have a RedPlate amp with a 1x12 open back cab and am looking for a speaker to compliment the amp.
It has a classic Fender Blackface clean channel, so I want a speaker that is open an chimy.
The Tweed section can be thick, so the low end can not be boomy.
The drive section is more D-Style and with the tone stack lift feature, it can get a bit bright, so the highs need to be controlled.
Would the G12 c/s be a good fit for this amp or would you suggest something else?
