Hi, I want some suggestion on a speaker for a small open back combo.
So far, I have WGS G12C/S which is American sounding, WGS Veteran 30 that is similar to Celestion Vintage 30, Celestion G12T-75 and Eminence Legend 1275.
I like the veteran 30 best, I like the G12C/S also, but it is a little hawkish sounding ( honk sounding!!!). Celestion G12T-75 is ok, but I feel it is not open sounding as the first two. It sounds restricted. I don't like the Eminence 1275 at all.
I am looking for a speaker that is minimum 60W, more open sounding but different from the two WGS that I like.

That's easy: The Retro 30 ... our take on the Vet 30 ... but with a little extra sparkle/openness on top ... and a bit more extended bottom!

I thought Retro 30 is very similar to Veteran 30 with just a little more highs. You mean they sound different enough to have both?

Celestions are GREAT. But they've seen their day with the end of hair metal, IMO.
