RE: Combining two Cabs

My situation is very simple. And I imagine to be very common.

I have a low Watt boutique Valve Amp(FUCHS Lucky 7 single channel) which feeds 4 and 8 Ohms. I would like to combine two 16 Ohm Cabs to match up with 8 Ohm feed.

Problem is is that no one on guitar forums can give me an exact answer.

Again, very simple problem. Very complex answers. I'm trying to avoid buying a Tonebone Cabbone.

Yes, I bought a Y-cable, low budget. But I'm told that it doesn't have enough shileding.

Dude ... that's not right!  Speaker cables require NO(!!) shielding whatsoever ... in fact, it's best NOT to have a shielded cable on a speaker load ... BUT, in the case of a short cable (as I assume your Y is) ... it's not really an issue!

So there, my short answer is: You're fine :-)
