RE: 4x10 Cabinet Buzzes

I've finally loaded my Mojo 4x10 tweed/pine cabinet with four Vet 10s and Mulder Audio speaker wiring. It sounds so good!!! I tried many other speakers and this is the sound I was searching for.

The only problem is some cabinet buzz when hitting certain notes/chords. I've tightened the baffle and cabinet screws and also tightened the speakers (more than finger tight, but not as tight as possible). It helped but I still get buzzes. Which leads me to the questions: How much can you/should you tighten down the speakers? Does anyone have any tips or tricks to help with cabinet buzz?

The two back panels are very thin and move with sound pressure, but don't seem to be causing the problematic buzzing. Maybe it's something I have to live with to a certain degree...but I'd like to eliminate it!

Yea boy ... those light pine cabs with floating baffles can really drive you crazy with this!  The amps I build use these type of cabs, too (www.VaughnSkow.com).  When they sing, they sing like no other ... but all that liveliness can lead to a lot of sympathetic resonating issues.  My best overall suggestion: don't give up ... don't get discouraged ....  and, my recommendation on speaker mounting bolt tightness is this, as tight as you can get them with a screw driver or nut driver is safe ... but don't go over-board with a ratchet or something...
