I posted something here yesterday about putting some GB in my 2x12 cab. However, I was able to fix the problem (I'm a speaker noob), and I just wanted to say that they sound AMAZING!!!! I'm playing through a Blackstar HT-20 head, with very few effects pedals (I rely only the amp for distortion).
Anyone who is scoping these out, they are cheaper than GB and they sound great! I honestly think they're a bit better than GB on the low end at higher volums as well.
Yea man. Just heard yesterday that DrZ will be switching from Celestion GB's to WGS Green Berets ... they said the same thing ... That's a seriously cool endorsement!
Just swapped out the stock speaker for the Green Beret, Wow what a difference. Turned the amp into something I will truly enjoy playing, It completely lacked any tonal character at all, sounds very similar to deluxe reverb with more growl. I am truly pleased with the quality of WGS products my only choice from now on.
