RE: 2x10" for Fender Mustang V v2 Head

Hi,

since I play lot of different sounds without having to much money, Iam going to buy me a Fender Mustang V v2. So I can get many sounds for little money. For the Cabinet Iam going to use a 2x10 open back I build some time ago for another amp. Since there are 30 Watt speakers in there and the Amp has 2x75 Watt I will need two new speakers.

The most played Sounds will be "modern blues" (John Mayer etc.), Indie (The Kooks, Two Door Cinema Club...) and calssic Rock (Aerosmith, The Who...).

Since the Mustangs are said to have a bit to much highs espacially when played at louder levels i thought about the G10C/S. Now Iam a little bit afraid to kill all the highs and get a sound which is to muddy. Should I mix the G10C/S with one G10C or is this not nessesary? Or should I even get two G10C? Or are these speakers aktually a bad choice for my setting?

I would be happy to get a little help with my problem. Greetings from Germany

Stephan

PS: Sorry for the bad english

Yea man ... I'd say go for one G10C & one G10C/S ... they mix wonderfully together.

glad you asked the question. I just bought an open/closed 2x10 pine cab on line (ebay) and was wondering the same thing. I'm planning on using this as an extension cab. Will let you know how it sounds
