RE: 12" speaker for Tweed Super (1 x 12)

Hi all at WGS,

 

I'm having me build a Super Tweed clone 2 x 6L6. to play in 1 x 12 combo.

 

Which speaker in de WGS range would make a good fit to play with this amp. I'm after a fendery sound, but not advesre to Brit speakers as such to get there.

Blackhawk Alnico would be my #1 choice.

ET65 or ET90 would be #2

No love for a G12C in this one, Vaughn?

Well, one year and 9 months later, a 50W Black Hawk at last is underway.

BlackHawk 50 has arrived.

 

And YES, it's a great match for my 5F4 clone.

 

Less with Vox type amps but then again: the 50 might me a replacement for the Alnico Gold, but the hint of Americano in this one is unmistackable.
