Hi, I’m new here and this is my first post.
I play a ‘64 Deluxe Reverb with a G12C which was fine when I was doing lots of gigs. Now my situation has changed and I mainly play at home in my bedroom studio.
I find the G12C a bit too bright and definitely too loud so I’m looking for a new speaker.
Most of the time I play clean and I like a smooth, round tone. Not too bright in the 2-5k area which sounds a bit too harsh for my ears. At the same time I like the bass to be tight especially when I play jazz standards.
I like the tone of the G12A and was wondering if there’s a speaker with a similar character but maybe a bit less loud.
