Alright, so I'm looking to get an H&K Tubemeister 36 Combo. Great amp, lot's of tonal possibilities at my disposal, I'm obviously pretty darn excited. The only problem is, of course, the Celestion V30 in it. Of course, it's a classic, and the amp is voiced to it, but the last thing I want is cone cry or the other problems synonymous with a V30 getting in the way of me getting the full potential out of this amp, as it's obviously a pretty penny in cost, and I want to be able to use this thing to its full potential, from sparkling cleans to ballsy metal.

I play a whole range of different music styles, and I'd really like to keep this piece of kit for as long as possible and really put some good love through it. Do you have any experience with the 36W version of this amp specifically and do you think you could recommend something to me that would fit the bill?

I would also be interested in hearing about this. How did you decide in the end?

Also, if you were to choose a 10 inch speaker, which one would you pick (would allow for living room sized cabs).

Man ... my first choice would be the Blackhawk (not HP) ... with the ET65 as my second choice (in a 1x12).  Both of these are the absolute end-all in a single 12 cab ... with the ability do do all things well.

As for a single 10 ... I'd go with the G10 ... either Ceramic or Alnico ... which is an AMAZING ten.  Or, wait for the new ET-10, which is also amazing in a 1x10 cab!
