I feel your pain

Hi Guys..I recently got a Trademark 60, but unfortunately they come with one of my most unfavourite speakers - the celestion seventy 80 (G12p-80).  Yuck.    I tried my WGS British Lead (my favourite) in it and there was a vast improvement in clarity and punch, but lacks a a little sparkle in this amp and the overdrive channel can sound a little congested in the mids.

What would be your suggested replacement?  As it is essentially a modelling amp I guess it needs to have a fairly flat/neutral response..?

I just acquired a Gibson GA20RVT with that same speaker as stock ... yep, yuck!  I don't know the amp in question, but I'd lean toward a Retro 30 or ReaperHP given your description of the patients symptoms.
