hello all, ive got a Fender Blues Deluxe but the stock speaker is overly bright. i play chicken pickin stuff (ie Brent Mason) along with classic rock tones. mostly pushed clean and dumble like overdrive tones. ive been looking at a few different speakers but dont know which one to pull the trigger on.
ive looked at 12L, G12c, G12c/s, Retro 30, Vetran 30
so if i had to rate em it would be 5. 12L (super heavy and i dont feel like breaking my back) 4. Retro 30 (from what i can hear its pretty bright sounding) 3. G12C (bright as well from what i can tell but more of a fender tone) 2. G12c/s (has that American tone but warmer sounding and cuts the highs) 1. Veteran 30 (its what Brent Mason uses and that the tone im looking for)
