I'm going to be upgrading my cab for my Blues Jr - what I had in mind is, I'd like to go to a dual speaker set up to open things up and move more air, But I don't want to have to lug around an amp that weighs a ton!
What I'm thinking is, put 2 tens in it. May lower wattage ones with medium sized magnets to cut down on weight.
I prefer a more “American” Blues sound – think Tab Benoit or Tommy Castro – rather than a heavy British crunch.
I’m looking at the 10” Veteran 16 Ohm – would this do ok? The amp is 15 watts, would the two 20 watt speaker offer enough headroom where it won’t be breaking up too badly at half or ¾ volume? Are these efficient enough so I won’t lose too much volume output or is another speaker a better choice ( btw - G10A is out of my budget range )
