In have a DSL40 with an Invader which I love in that amp. I have built a new plywood extension cab for it, for a total of a 2X12 set-up....One in the amp, and one 1x12 cab.

 

Love the Invader, and wonder what could go well with it, yet in a separate cab.

 

I dont neccesary want one speaker to dominate over the other, but more blend with it, adding different frequencies for a more 3D tonality.

 

Mostly Les Pauls are played through it.

 

70's hard rock, 80's hair metal, and blues rock vibe..... Singing sustain and leads.

Yea ... definitely gonna say you'll LOVE a Vet 30 with the Invader!

I was told by WGS Reaper HP is a decent combination.

I bought from the used bin and it was one option.

I'm not perfectly sold on Reaper HP. I have way too many speaker mixings.

Cab allows me to play single 1X12 at a time and I'm OK with that for now. I play super LOW volumes.

 

But I may go all out, either ALL Invader, or ALL Reaper HP. I'm deciding on tone which I prefer more. The Reaper HP has more of a CLASSIC rock flavor that I've grown to love over the decades.
