Would a Black and Blue speaker rated at 15 watts be a good match for my new AC15? A lot of guys say to stick with the Green back, but I’ve never been a fan. From your audio samples this speaker seems to break up fast enough, and sounds good clean.
The BnB would be okay … but … MY #1 for that amp would certainly be the Blackhawk AlNiCo (50-watt, not the HP model). That’s the same speaker, but with a kapton former as opposed to the paper former on the black-n-Blue (or Celestio0n Blue). To me the Kapton ALWAYS sounds better … and smokes a lot less often, too
