Looking to rehouse a 40w '66 Blackface Bandmaster in a 2x10, and was liking the sound of the veteran 10s.. my question is, at 20w each, will this be a safe and great sounding combination?

You should be fine w/the Vets ... but if your back doesn't mind, the G10's would probably make you smile bigger :-)
Or, one of each ... with the Heavy G10 on the other side of the the big power tranny!
