212 for Veteran 30 and Reaper HP, hard rock to metal

Hi there from across the pond!

I have a Veteran 30 & a Reaper HP waiting for a home and I’m wondering if there’s a cab that will do both for thrash or detuned metal with an ENGL Fireball 100 and some hard rock to stoner with a Laney GH30R. I could order an oversized 212 made to the Avatar Vintage 212 specs that I know Vaughn reccommends - would it work with closed back for thrash/detuned and 1/3 open for the other stuff? Maybe order it deeper, at 350 mm? I already have an 18mm birch ply 755W x 455H x 330D (mm) closed/half-open cab (currently housing Eminence’s Swamp Thang and Texas Heat) and this cabinet guys also uses 15 mm poplar ply.

Or what do you think about this: XF Guitar Cabs ?

Any thoughts much appreciated.

The XF cab just plain looks like designs that have been tried over the decades but didn’t ever really work out well.

Yes, that’s EXACTLY what I’d suggest … man the abality to make a cab go from closed to open is so awesome.
