Reaper HPs and ET90s in a 4x12

This is not a speaker combo I have read any opinions on. I know you have said the HP and ET65 are very complimentary, Vaughn. I liked the idea of the added “bigness” the 90 should bring. I am playing primarily 80’s metal, sometimes ZZ Top to ac/dc kind of stuff as well.

My question I’m posing is x-pattern vs top/bottom configuration. And, if you were putting one pair top and one bottom, which? My natural inclination would be the 90s on the bottom?

I forgot to add, I am using this cab with a Mark IVa.

Yea, my natural inclination would probably be the 90’s on the bottom too … where they can best couple with the floor. However, I’ve often found that the x-pattern really makes for the fullest, most complex tone … so, don’t be affraid to try BOTH and se which you prefer :slight_smile:
