Amp: Crate Vintage Club 50H
In the past i've tried:
Invader + reaper (reg) - broke up to quickly
Invader + Vin 30 - normal breakup, but too ice picky
Now I'm not sure between a Reaper HP or a ET65. I need a higher powered speaker to stay clean at higher volumes and to also fill in the low end where the invader is lacking. I'm worried the Reaper HP wont be warm enough. So, i orded a ET65, but any input would also be helpful.
Go with a Reaper HP or ET-90!
I've got the Invader/Reaper HP in a 2X12 closed. (The Cab is a Crate V Series I bought new on sale $99 with free ship. I sold the speakers for $70, which paid for a good part of the entire Cab.)
I'm not a pro and I don't play loud volumes. I don't know if I should owned 25W Green Berets, but it's a choice I made. Actually they were on the WGS used speaker site, so I took advantage of the benefit.
The Reaper HP sounds faintly dull and the Invader sounds faintly bright. But when combined it seems to be a good pairing.
I went on an impulse buy with these two. I'm glad it's a sought out combo.
