I am looking at changing my speakers form the ET65 to the Invaders (ET65's are great, just looking for a different tone).
Are the Invaders "dirtier" speakers than the ET65 and will the cone breakup earlier...and will it break up as early as the Green Beret ?
Invaders are not "dirtier", but do have a lot more of a characteristic British "snarl" (lots more upper midrange).
Cone breakup would be similar to the ET65 but not nearly as early as the (only 25 watt) Green Beret.
Perfect. I can deal with cleaner, but I don't want dirtier. I really dig my ET65's but need a litte more mids and more "cut" than my ET65's in a live setting so these may be perfect.
