RE: Speaker for 1X12 cabinet to be used with Rivera Venus 6 head

Greeting from Canada!

I recently acquired a 35 watt Venus 6 head and am going to get the guys at Steamcomusic to build me an oversized 1X12 cabinet with a variable back (steamco uses Warehouse Speakers).

Rivera pairs the Venus with a G12H30 but I'm interested to hear your suggestions.

I like the sound clips for the ET65, Invader 50, Reaper and Reaper HP.

Interesting ... since the G12H30 ... and our similar voiced Reaper, are 30-watt speakers!

I'd say it's a good voice for the amp ... but go with a Reaper HP, which sounds almost identical, but with it's kapton former, can easily handle the amps output gracefully!
