RE: Repost 6505/5150 combo

Hi Vaughn,

I am wondering what would you recommend for a 6505 2x12 combo. I play Hard Rock with a touch of metal (Faith no more, Creed, Extreme) I like a clean, defined, articulate sound which is balanced with solid bottom. I dont go to crazy with gain on the 6505 and most of what I play is in standard A440 use a PRS with dimarzios humbuckers. However in my band we do play loud, there seems to be quiet a few great options Retro,HM75,Liberator etc. I would like to keep both speakers the same in the combo. Reapers Hp's sound good to me from the sound bytes but would like your recommendation/s. Its a closed back 212 cab with Sheffields 1200's at the moment.

Hi John,

First thing in my head: a pair of HM 75's.

The Libs would also possibly be good ... they would take it just a LITTLE bit more in the warmer territory of the ET65 or Reaper.  So ... a good choice if you want to slightly warm the cab.
