- I need to replace the speakers in a 74 fender twin. I love the clean fender sound but need a little extra bass as I play in a trio. We are in our 60"s and recently reunited to play the songs we did when we were young. Beatles, CCR, 60's rock and some blues. I am thinking the HM75 and Vintage 30. Your opionions?
1st choice: If ya got the $$ ... a pair of Blackhawks.
Otherwise, if it were me, I'd go w/a pair of ET65's ... that'll warm it up a bunch ... but most twins can really use that!
Otherwise, go ET65 & a Ret 30 ... lotsa sparkle, plus a nice boost in the bottom :-)
