I bought a Jackson Ampworks El Guapo (100 w head - 2 channels mimicing a Super Bass on ch1 and a Super Lead on ch2). I contacted Jackson to build me a cabinet for the head. I was wanting to go with a 1x12, and they are going to build it with a Blackhawk HP speaker. How will that pair with a Marshall-like head?
Yea! That should be about as good as a 100-watt 1x12 gets! It will sound like an old EV SRO, which would have been the exact speaker folks would have chosen for that setup back in the 70's!

Yea, the Blackhawk HP kinda breaks the rule that says a speaker that is capeable of handleing very high power can't have a nimble response and full tone. I know that big AlNiCo magnet makes it pricey ... but it's worth it!
