Just put the ET-65 in the gibson amp.  The tone just went up a big notch.  A more open lows and less pitchy highs.  I saw the '67 DR speaker shoot out with all those speakers and thought this one might do the trick.  And it got here in 2 days! I can't dime it in the apartment but I'll get around too it soon.  Looking forward to trying a distortion pedal in front of the amp soon.  Overall,  a great upgrade for the C12R that bought the farm. 

I'm hooked.

Thanks for taking the time to post your results here ... and yea, I had one of those old Gals for a while, and the ET65 would probably be my recommendation, too.  Thanks again :-)
